Video Gallery

While this is mainly a picture gallery site, my camera actually takes video as well. I've just figured out how to upload videos to my site so I've decided to display some of them in this gallery. Just click on the image and the video should start if you have the proper applications to view them. Note: Please be patient as your computer may have to download the video before it begins (not recommended for dial-up networks). As always, I hope you enjoy them. r

This first video is a school of Horse-eyed Jacks from Belize

This video is a guided tour down an "elevator shaft" in the reef. We go from 35ft. to 65ft. straight down through a hole in the reef and exit horizontally out onto the wall. It was great fun!

One of the coolest experiences was diving the Blue Hole of Belize. It was more of a "sky diving" experience than a scuba experience. We did a free fall for 8 minutes going from the surface to 130ft. where we encountered huge stalactites hanging from this ancient cave now a 400ft. hole in the middle of a reef. (Please be patient as this is a large file).

In 2005 I went to the kelp forest in San Diego, CA. Here's a short video of what it's like looking from the bottom up. BTW, the orange fish are Garabaldi fish and the kelp stalks are 45ft. high to the surface.

Ever wondered what it's like to scuba in a Caribbean reef? Here's video I shot in Grand Cayman Island. Keep an eye out near the end (when you see the diver) and watch how a baracuda suddenly appears (Please be patient as this is a large file).
